MAKING THE RIGHT CHOICE NATURALLY … IS AS EASY AS 1,2,3
As a homeowner, you are faced with a number of options when it comes to insulating your home. Many products are available but none can compare to the benefits of cellulose insulation when you consider all of the deciding factors.
Studies have shown that up to 20 to 30% savings can be obtained by properly installing cellulose insulation in your home. By keeping your home warm in the winter and cool in the summer, cellulose acts as thermal blanket providing you with a comfortable living environment.
Cellulose insulation is economically priced when compared to other insulating materials. If you’re handy opt to upgrade the attic insulation by renting an insulation blowing machine, saving on product costs and installation.
Cellulose is inherently green and one of the most ecological building products on the market today. Made from 100% post consumer recycled newsprint, each bag of cellulose is made from a renewable natural resource. It is manufactured responsibly, reduces the need to cut trees, reduces the consumption for heating and energy sources by its superior thermal properties and reduces CO2 emissions from decomposition of waste in our landfills. Our Weathershield products provide superior thermal, acoustical and fire properties for your home.
At an excellent R-value of 3.8 per inch, the higher density and perfect fit of our insulation, significantly reduces air leakage, infiltration and air convection making it a superior insulation for reducing summer heat gain and winter heat loss.
Cellulose insulation, not only, delivers thermal resistance, it also acts as a sound barrier. Because of the dense fibers of cellulose and their ability to fill irregular cavities, cellulose insulation is effective at controlling sound, making your home quieter. Weathershield is treated with fire resistant non-toxic additives to inhibit the spread of fire allowing your loved ones more time to reach safety. Tests and studies have shown that cellulose insulation is 22 to 55% more fire resistant than competing insulation products (view big burn demo for more information). Weathershield products undergo stringent testing for slow combustion and flame spread and they meet or exceed national and applicable building codes.
3. SAFETY & OTHER BENEFITS
Weathershield ia extremely safe to handle or install, contains no formaldehyde, no asbestos or CFCs, HFCs or HCFCs. There are no health risks such as cancer related warnings associated with our insulation. The product will not irritate skin or itch as with some glass fiber insulation.
As part of the manufacturing process, the fiberized paper is treated with a special blend of fire retardant additives that also act as a proven rodent and insect repellent. This process, not only, repels insects, mice and other unwanted vermin, it does not promote the growth of mold, mildew and fungi.
Making an eco-friendly choice without sacrificing performance and safety.
